The Housing Ombudsman has issued seven findings of ‘severe maladministration’ against Hammersmith & Fulham LBC.
In total, the ombudsman has ordered the London borough’s housing team to pay £18,000 in compensation across three cases.
The council’s interim chief executive, Sharon Lea, was ordered to apologise in person to the tenants affected.
Housing ombudsman Richard Blakeway described the experiences of all three residents – including the length of time each waited for repairs - as ‘shocking’.
