A recall petition managed by North Northamptonshire Council has seen over 13% of the electorate in the constituency of Wellingborough call for the removal of Peter Bone MP.
The MP for Wellingborough was suspended from the Commons for six weeks earlier this year after having been found to have subjected a staff member to bullying and sexual misconduct.
Mr Bone denies the allegations.
The petition was signed by 13.2% of voters exceeding the 10% threshold for recalling an MP.
A by-election will now be held early next year.
