Earlier in the year, Parkeon successfully tendered for the supply and installation of 43 Parkeon Strada Rapide terminals to Birmingham City Council.
The terminals are currently being installed in the central Livery Street area, the busiest part of the city. They are all mains powered, coin-only meters, but with the added benefit of being fitted with 3G modems enabling connection to the Parkfolio centralised management system.
As Jon Hillier, South West Midlands & Wales Sales Executive for Parkeon explains: “Parkfolio is an easy-to-use, flexible, web-based system that will enable the Council to control the parking by monitoring live both financial and terminal status in an efficient manner across the parking zones.”
Examples of some of the key benefits of the Parkfolio system include:
• Improvements in terminal uptimes to optimise revenue and customer satisfaction
• Sends warnings and alarms when terminals require attention
• Increases security with overnight cash level indicators to help plan collection routes and reduce cash on-street
• Helps to provide a reliable service for drivers
• Maximises revenues by optimising terminal up-times
• Reduces maintenance costs
