Brent Council has extended its Capita contract with an £8.3m deal for supply of council tax and business rates administration.
The outsourcing giant has now delivered services to the London borough for more than 12 years.
Brent said council tax collection performance and customer satisfaction with the contract centre has improved under Capita, which has been running this latest contract since 2011.
More than 91% of calls are now thought to be resolved at the point of contact.
Director of customer services at Brent Council, Margaret Read, said: ‘This extension reflects our successful working relationship with Capita. We have developed a strong partnership over the last 12 years resulting in increased efficiencies and savings.
‘At the same time we have seen increased revenue collection, helping to mitigate the very significant financial challenges that Brent faces over the next few years.’
Sue King, contract director Capita Local Government, added: ‘I am pleased Capita is able to continue to offer savings working in partnership with Brent Council, while at the same time helping to improve services to help them meet the challenges ahead.
‘We will continue to work closely with the council to bring about further efficiencies and improvements to services.’
