An inspection of Bolton Council’s home support reablement service has found it is effective, caring, and well led.
The Care Quality Commission rated the adult social care service as Good, reaffirming the rating awarded in 2017.
Inspectors commended the 'high-quality, person-centred' care promoted within the service, which supports people who have a physical or mental illness, injury or disability to live in their own homes.
Bolton’s executive member for adult social care, Linda Thomas, said: ‘We’re delighted with the positive rating which has been achieved under extremely difficult circumstances.
‘It underscores the quality of the staff and service providers that have such a positive impact on the lives of our most vulnerable residents.
‘We will continue to modernise and improve our services but call on the Government to deliver on its promises for social care reform and funding which are needed as a matter of urgency.’
